About Me :	Hi! Thanks for checking out my personal slice of cyber-space. To describe myself: I’m a divorced white male, 43, 6’4”, just a few lines below 200# so I’m tall & slender. Brownish blonde hair which I still have most of thankfully, brown eyes behind the glasses, changing facial hair depending on my mood and the weather. Size 13 feet and I can palm a basketball so I have big but gentle hands. I would consider myself of average looks and most people think I look like I’m in my 30’s so I don’t think I’ve hit the wall yet. I’m a happy, funny, loyal, trustworthy, honest, optimistic guy, on the quiet/shy side but once I know & trust someone then no subject is off limits. The first 18yrs of my life was spent in Wisconsin, graduated from H.S. in 1983 and shortly after moved out to California where I spent the next 22yrs. At the age of 40 I decided it was time to begin to really live my life and do some of the things that I’ve always dreamed of doing. First came the divorce which was initiated by me with protest at first but eventually she came around to see that we both needed something different. The marriage lasted 12yrs and as with most had it’s highs & lows. After I was free from that I decided to continue my quest. I’ve always wanted to live somewhere warm & tropical so I took two weeks vacation and went to Costa Rica. I fell in love with the country, the culture, the people and the way they seemed to really be living their lives first. After my vacation I went back to CA, sold most of my belongings and a few months later I was living in Costa Rica! I’ve lived here since September, 2006 and it is truly a paradise on earth. By moving here I have been able to full fill a lifelong dream and it’s been a learning experience in many ways on many different levels. I’ve been to places that are totally mind blowing that no photo or video can do justice to. You have to go there and feel it. Since I’ve lived in Costa Rica my life has become so much more organic in many ways, the food I eat, the products I buy, the way I get around. I’ve become much more environmentally conscious of the world around me and do everything I can to be good to mother earth. I’m not into the bar scene. I just don’t think I’ll find the woman I want to be with in a bar. I’m not into drinking a lot, two or three brews and I’m good. Or share a nice bottle of wine but getting hammered isn’t my thing. I don’t smoke either but it’s not really a big issue as long as you can support your own habit. Musically I am into a pretty broad spectrum but I’m not a big “hits” guy. My favorite would be music from the 60’s & 70’s known as Progressive Rock. Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes, Rush, Focus, King Crimson and so many more groups that most folks have never heard of. I also love jazz, r & b, Motown, and some hard rock. Theatrically I like just about everything. Sci-Fi, animation, documentaries, epics, & comedies. If I had to pick one movie as my favorite I would probably choose The Lord of the Rings trilogy, (the extended versions). I love animals and I have a 1yr old black & tan dachshund that is probably the smartest, coolest, funniest pet I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She’s got a good life and is a very important part of my life. Who I’d like to find: I'm not looking to get married any time soon. I'm here to make friends first and if a serious relationship develops from meeting someone here then we can cross that bridge at that time. I was totally loyal & committed to my marriage so I don’t personally need a piece of paper to prove I love someone. I have no children and don't plan to start now. If you have children it might work out, but if you are looking for a man to start making new kids with then I am probably not for you. I am not a prejudice man and I don’t see people by the color of their skin so race is not an issue. Like I said I consider myself of average looks and I’m looking for the same. I’m in pretty decent shape physically and I am looking for the same. I’m not saying you need to be a waif but honestly heavy girls don’t turn me on. I want someone that can keep up with me when we head out on adventures. I want someone with an open mind that’s capable to having an intelligent conversation and can open their minds to alternative possibilities. I want someone I can trust without question. I believe we all need personal space and time to be ourselves but I want to have total trust & faith in my future woman in my life. I want someone that knows how to be sexy and creative and daring romantically. You need to be adventurous, like beaches, islands, rainforests and spontaneous escapes and be conscious of the world around you. That’s a good start to my space here and if you found my profile interesting hopefully you will have the courage to write an email. I am a real man and I’m looking for a real woman. I’m not interested in links to web cam sites or anyone looking for credit card numbers to see them naked. I don’t go there, I’m into reality.
