There's a lot of great information that can be posted here, but she'd much rather make new history that out-shines the rest....Mary Michelle Richard, a native Houstonian, is the youngest of 4 children born to Paul and Beverly Richard. At the tender age of four she began pageantry and modeling. Although this was very challenging for a young “tom-boy” who’d much rather make mud pies, shoot hoops- a beebee gun or practice a “figure-four leg-lock” with her older brother, her mother could talk her into an occasional style show. When Mary made the varsity cheerleading squad her first try-out, it was a free ticket to all of the games! This was heaven to a die-hard sports fan. She was the only cheerleader to make history in that she’d sprint up to the announcer’s booth moments before the half to perform the commentation written by Mary herself. {other times eloquent improvisation} It wasn’t until sweet 16 that Mary became remotely interested in the world of glamour. Her high school principal made it mandatory for girls to dress up once a week, and EUREKA- it worked!! {COMING SOON TO A STORE NEAR YOU, Mary modeling: Winter 2006 Academy Sports & Outdoors In-store Posters for Nike, Adidas and New Balance} Presently, Mary is a Spokes Model, Fashion Model, Actress, Motivational Speaker, Writer, National Award-Winning Dance Choreographer, Lyricist, Poet, Singer, One Act Play Co-Director & Youth Minister. Mary loves to serve others. The Sunny Side & South Park communities of Houston, TX. need a lot of loving attention. While evangelism has been tested and proven to be a faithful strategy, so has the entertainment industry and "Corporate America". The challenge is finding the middle ground. That’s where it becomes more and more evident that Mary was born for such a time as this. Her vision of a radiant city surpasses "the hood"- It extends across the globe, nation by nation. Coming from a family background of cultural fusion, various talents and deep roots in Christianity, it is fathomable why Mary believes her dream can become a sterling reality if everyone does their part. Her philosophy is that we are like a puzzle of hearts that form one heartbeat. This drives her to encourage others to get in where they fit in… survival of the fittest.
