well all I can say is my husband and I started out as friends and then we married and now there is little to no communication between us now... I haven't told him but I'm planning to leave and move back to my hometown.. I really just don't think it's going to workout... this has been going on for about 3 years now....

I really don't know an answer to this question, but I know that we try to have a balance in our marriage ...we work at sharing responsibilities, helping around the house, helping each other trying to be there for each other...I don't know, it's hard to explain, we deep down care for each other even when we fight...what do I know anyway...LOL

Whatever happened to the time when people took the time to get to know each other then made a commitment  to each other for better or for worse etc. My grandparents stayed through until death did they part and so did my parents. I never married but 2 of my brothers did and they both divorced. I don't understand the problem.

I think dating is easy! It's fresh, new, and exciting. Marriage... uuuuugggggg

I could write a book on this subject... My mom was married 5 times. I was married twice. I know all the ways I went wrong and how they went wrong too. All marriages are different and disolve for many diffferent reasons. I think the main reason divorce happens so often now is because it can! Years ago divorce was taboo. Most stayed in stagnant relationships because it was socially unexceptable and difficult to get out of. Today it is fairly easy... so why stay unhappy?

Men and women of today don't know how to become one, and remain as individuals inside of this "one".

They marry, are in Love and Lovers, and he looks at her and thinks: "I hope she never changes"..but she does! She looks at him and thinks "I sure hope that I can change that in him",  and he doesn't change!

People need to come together as allies, toward one purpose, on a common plan, made by both, Loyal to each other and out for each others benefit, and bent on upholding the person that they fell in Love with to keep that treasure. Placing each other above and loyalties above friends, and sensitive to the well being, each of the other.

Becoming compeboobors is a dead end as is loosing value for the other person and trying to override or take control of the other persons personality.

We have a problem in North America today, where even we teach our young girls and boys to be compeboobors instead of cooperators.
Even misguided Sunday-School teachers, where games are concerned, make it a thing of "girls against the boys"!

It becomes an item of who will overpower who in the end and become the controlling personality.
Sometimes it's the husband, wherein the marriage usually fails, and sometimes it's the wife, where in the husband usually wimps out, and gives in to get what he needs or tries to get!

Many items are subtle, yet become so obvious when we take a close look at our social structure and family dynamics.
