this is a writers club,
doesn't any one have any ideas or even comments that they would like to share with us...
let's get writing folks............

So how does one encourage the young writer. I have a 15 year old daughter who is truly gifted, she finished her first screen play a year ago, and apart from some editing of format, it was quite complete. We even have people who want to produce it. Now she is doing a lot of Fan Fic writing and even has a large following of fans. When I showed her work to my journalist friends, they actually thought it was my work.

She lives with her mother on the other side of the planet (Literally, California, I am in China). I have been doing my best to chat with her regularly, read her material and motivate her. But what else can I do, she is going into her Junior Year, (skipped a grade) and she loves challenges.

How can I help encourage her to write more and help her be successful at it? What summer short courses would be good or would it be better to bring her on an eye opening trip around the world of self discovery to broaden her horizons?

AS A FIRST TIME PUBLISHED  AUTHOR,MYSELF,
I WAS SO PLEASE AND ENCOURAGED TO WRITE SOME MORE WHEN MY FIRST BOOK HIT THE BOOK STORES THIS YEAR.
I THINK SHE ALREADY KNOWS THAT SHE IS GOOD.
BUT TELLING HER AND ENCOUAGING HER IS ALWAYS GOOD TO DO,BY YOU ENCOURAGING HER ABOUT HER WORK ALL THE TIME MIGHT KEEP HER  HOPES UP AND KEEP HER WRITING MORE AND MORE.
ALSO TAKING HER AROUND THE WORLD O LEARN DIFFERENT CULTURES WOULD HELP OUT A GREAT DEAL.
A WRITING COURSE SHE CAN ALWAYS TAKE UP IN SCHOOL,BUT TRAVELING AROUND THE WORLD WOULD BE PRICELESS FOR HER BENIFIT.
AND PLUS SHE MIGHT ENJOY IT MORE THAN YOU THINK SHE WOULD.
