"Low Is The Way"

As I go through life day to day,
From trial and error I find that, "Low is the way".

My Grand used to say, "The long way home is the best way home,
It may take more time but you can't go wrong."

Everybody elses life, speeds on the broad highway,
When it should take a lifetime, they get there in a day.

The long road home, seems so very long.
The mountains and the valleys, the aches and the groans.

This path of Truth and Life,
Makes me want to think twice,

But as I go down on bended knee plainly I can see,
A gold dust trail sparkling ahead of me.

The tapestry of God's great work,
Is best seen up close, not from an eagles perch.

To see things from God's point of view,
Is not from the clouds, but among the morning's dew.

You say you wanna be rich, then give it all away.
And if you wanna live forever, learn to love and appreciate each day.

Theres no greater gift, than to give your very best,
That's how you pass life's ultimate spiritual test.

Helping a stranger in need,
Will cure your lusts and your greed.

Loving your neighbor as yourself,
Is God's revealed secret to your spiritual health.

To get your head in the clouds,
You must enter in bowed,

Low is the way,
Is what all the old folks say.

Tribute to the people of New Orleans, La. USA
After surviving the devastating hurricane Katrina, flood and neglect, the people of New Orleans shall rise. The pages in the book of the African in America survival story still turn as we journey toward the Master's voice. The saga continues...

"Pearls of America"

Another name I have earned while I visit here.
Another chapter in the life of America, which I love so dear,

Each day I evolve, being tested tried and true.
When you hurt, I feel it, when you bleed, my blood runs too.

Our suffering is our link together,
One prayer and one heart, bound forever.

God has a way of turning a pebble into a Pearl,
He can take the bitter from my heart and use it to polish the world.

While being smothered of air, I bellowed my truest of prayer,
Being turned in the heat has made my design unique.

Water all around does not ease the burn,
God whispered in my ear, a new name you have earned.

No attention given me, as my face turns toward the sky,
I humbly cry, don't let me die! Why do you pass me bye?

In this place on my knees,
I cry, O Lord help me please!

God has a way of turning a pebble into a Pearl,
He took the cries of my heart and got the attention of the whole world.

Because I Love

Because I love you,
my hugs are warmer,
my goodbyes are longer,
my tears are sweeter,
my stare is stronger.
My, I love you is more sincere,
Just the thought of you springs a tear.
So I place you in His hands,
such a great love only He can stand.
My love for you is just a touch,
of how He loves us all,
I'll never understand such.
A love so great that it takes my breath away,
But also gives me life
and carries me through the day.
God has a way of sharing how He feels,
by breaking through the natural
and revealing what is real.
Because I love you,
I place you in His hands,
and He places you in His Father's hand.
His grip is secure,
and His strength is sure,
Against whom no enemy can endure.
Because I love!
