Top Mesothelioma Diagnosis Options
By Husseiny Ahmed

The diagnosis of mesothelioma is very difficult for two main reasons, the first one is the time between the exposure to Asbestos and the appearing of the symptoms on the patient. The time between the exposure to asbestos and the appearing of the symptoms may be from 30 to 50 years. Yes, it is very very long time, and that is describe why many of mesothelioma cases are diagnosed nowadays. The Asbestos was using by the construction companies in the past so, mesothelioma that cased by the exposure to Asbestos are discovering now in patient that was working in these companies.

Mesothelioma diagnosis may occur by using some kind of radiations such as x-rays and/or (CT) scan to discover the tumors on the chest cavity, doctor may cut out a small piece from the pleural tissue or peritoneal tissue to test it outside.

Peritoneoscopy: In this case, doctor use a special medical equipment called Thoracoscope, doctor uses this medical equipment to reach the chest cavity and to see any abnormal parts on it. Doctor may cut out a small piece from the pleural tissue if he/she decided that this part must be cut out to be examined outside.

Peritoneoscope: In this medical operation the same thing that was mad with the chest cavity will be repeated with the abdominal cavity to take a look in the abdomen to test the peritoneum. As I wrote before, the peritoneum is the outer line surrounds the internal organs of the abdominal cavity so, doctor uses the peritoneoscope "another medical equipment to test the abdominal tissue" to reach the abdominal cavity and test the affected parts. The same action of cutting out a piece of the peritoneum tissue may be repeated if necessary.

Make sure you get checked and wear a mask. Some of this can be avoided. Life is so fragile. Thank you for joining this discussion. It helps me and hope it helps you all.

My family has dealt with several types of cancer. I have dug in my heels and did some research. I found a product that shrinks tumors and in some cases kiiled the cancer all together. It's fruit juice mase from the mangosteen fruit grown in south east asia. I was very skeptical at first but when I told a friend of mine about it she took it home to her son who had stage 4 melenoma cancer. He took (drank) the juice for 28 days before going back to the doctor for a check up. The doctor was amazed at his process. He is now 100% cancer free and very healthy.
My uncle died last year of bone cancer. He didn't believe me and wouldn't try the juice.
I have found through my own use that this amazing juice can do miracles. I started taking it just to help with my arthritis...which I no longer have...but found that it helped my eye sight and my blood pressure.
I beleive that this product is just as important to our health as vitamins and excercise. I won't go without it.
If your interested in knowing more about it please go to www.xango.com or www.juice2live.net I am a proud sponcer and loyal user.

I am a cancer survivor.
I had breast cancer in 2005, and never thought I would get it.
I was too young, I thought.

Well, I am going on 2.5 years of being cancer free, and have a wonderful husband that was great then and still is great in supporting me and making me feel good about myself.

It is a rough thing to go through alone, and you find out just how many friends you have or people that care about you.

I for the most part am cynical and a constant joker. This appears to be my way of dealing with how cancer has affected my life so I'm going to share a little opening up here even though I'm new to the group. My grandfather/superhero/best friend dropped dead one morning when I was 10. My dad was a drunk and non-existent other than anger. Enter divorce at 12 years old. My dad got sober eventually and developed melanoma (skin cancer). During treatment that appeared to go well he lost peripheral vision in his right eye. Eye doctor sends him to the doctor because he finds blood in the eye exam. One cat scan later it's discovered he has a 16" softball size tumor in the back of his brain. Having worked it's way well into the brain by that time they still perform the surgery. Chemo and radiation treatments come next the whole while I had nothing to do with my now reformed father. Before he went in for his last round of treatment I did go out to breakfast with him where he informed me that he knew he wouldn't make it through the treatment. He didn't. Ended up in a semi-coma in diapers in the hospital until he went home with hospice to die 2 weeks later. 4 years later, my grandmother who had basically raised me wasn't breathing well. One x-ray later and it's a death sentence. She had chronic bronchitis from all the second hand smoke in the house. Apparently a year earlier her regular doctor had interpreted some dark spots on a routine chest x-ray for smudges on the film. I also avoided her at all costs until she passed with dignity at her home with my mother there. My story has a couple of points. God, I promise. 1) This group is called dealing with cancer which is exactly what I didn't do when my family was attacked by it. Please give all you can to whomever needs your support while they deal with this illness. I suffer often with questions of what if but even more, I did nothing to simply be there for support for either one of them. For that there is no good excuse or amend other than to live life different today. 2) PLEASE, please do as much of your own research and get 15 opinions on everything before making decisions regarding this disease. There is a reason they call it practicing medicine. Sorry for the rant guys but maybe not today but tomorrow or next year someone will read what we put up here and be able to learn from it. Best of luck and God Bless everyone here that is currently or has ever dealt with this illness.
