How do I import a very large .SQL file using PHPMyAdmin?

I am trying to import a .SQL file using PHPMyAdmin. The file I am trying to import is 71MB.
I create the database first using PHPMyAdmin, then use "Import". The process proceeds for a few minutes, then the status bar does not progress much, and then I get Fatal Error;
Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
