How to Choose the Best Gas Reward Credit Cards
Category:  Money & Investing
Gas credit cards are also known as fuel cards. The best part of gas credit cards is that you can get about 10% cash back on every dollar that you spend to fill up gas at the gas station. All you have to do is to present your gas credit card at the gas station and at the end of the month the cash back amount will be reflected in your credit card statement. Some gas cards also offer 1% cash back on any purchases made by you from stores. There are a lot of credit card companies offering gas credit cards and it is important that you read all the terms and condition before you subscribe for a card.

Take for example the Capital One gas card. When you use this card to fill up gas you make 2 points on every dollar spent for gas and 1 point for every dollar that you spend for other purchases. There is 0% APR for a few months after which you buy your card and thereafter the APR rate is 13.4%. There is 0% balance transfer and the grace period is about 25 days. There are no sign up fees. Then there is the Discover Open Road credit card where you can get 5% to 20% cashback for purchases made at top online retailers. There is a 1% cashback bonus on all other purchases. You can get 0% APR for the first 5 months after which the APR rate stands at 10.99% to 18.99%. There is a 3% balance transfer fee and the grace period is 25 days.

Next on the list is the Chase PerfectCard from MasterCard. Here you can get 6$ rebates on all gas purchases for the first 90 days after which you get rebate of 3%. You also get 1% rebate on all other purchases. The intro period for 0% APR is 6 months after which the APR stands at 13.49%. There is no sing up fee and the grace period is 20 days.
It is very necessary that you choose the right kind of fuel card. For example, you will have to consider the rising prices of fuel and the amount of money you will have to shell out for the same. Hence consumers want to save as much money as possible by employing methods like using gas cards. There are gas cards that are geared towards individuals as well as corporates. However cards for corporates only work in certain locations and vehicles. Hence make sure that you read all the terms of the corporate gas cards very carefully.

The best part of gas cards is that you can apply for them online from the comforts of your home or office. The total amount of benefits that you can get from a gas card depends entirely on the type of card you choose. There are some cards like the Discover Open road card that can be used as a credit card as well as a gas card.   For more details, visit

Maintaining Your Good Credit
Category:  Money & Investing
If you use your credit card responsibly and make payments in a timely manner, you’ll keep your credit record and score in good stead. In order to make sure you enjoy all of the benefits of possessing a credit card, you must:
  • Pay your bill on time and pay at least the minimum required.
  • Do not go over your credit limit.
  • If you lose your card, report it immediately.
  • If you see any suspicious activity or notice any unwarranted charges, report them.
  • If the credit card company contacts you, be sure to respond.
  • Never give your card or personal identification number (PIN) to anyone else.
A credit card can be a useful tool, giving consumers more buying power, flexibility in spending and the convenience of not having to carry a lot of cash or write checks. They also help establish a credit history, providing evidence to banks and loan companies that you are a good credit risk. This can be a big asset when you go to purchase a car, home or other expensive items.
