The Saga: Forbidden Love

Part I:

His heart races as he barrels throught the dark forest. His pursuers gaining ground with each slip and fall from roots and loose branches covering the forest floor. The torch lights are now far closer than they where mere momnets ago but he preses on knowing to slow or even stop would mean certain death, but exhaustion and fatige wear at his wound ridden body. The sounds of the hunters and thier dogs are far too close for him to even think of stopping to rest, but still he knows he can't keep running like this forever. Sleep and healing must come soon to him or he'll surily die this night. His mind flashes images of other times the hunters where this close and of how he had managed to barily escape them and live to face another day, but this day feels different. It feels as if this day was destined to be his last. A feeling he is unable to shake no matter how hard he tries, but the feeling lingers and huants him almost as if it was taunting him to look for a savior or a tinge of hope that would never come. Then suddenly a root unseen in the forests' vast darkness that has been deepened even more so by the coming of night. He stumbles and falls to the ground too weak to continue his flight he lays there waiting for what he knew was soon to come. Darkness begins to surround him as he sucomes to his wounds and exhaustion. Inside his head he is greatful for what is about to come but a small part of him continues to urge him to flee. He resisits the feeling to try to flee once more and begins to fall further into the encroatching darkness. The sounds of the hunters and their dogs are almost upon him he lets out a sigh of relief as he thinks of his end and his freedom. He feels the hunters and their dogs just mere feet from him when a blinding light begins to illuminate the forest. Shouts of anger and confusion begin to fill his ears as he tries in vain to search for the source of the light. Slowly his eyes adjust to the light and he sees the dark outline of a women holding a sword. The light prevents him from seeing any details of her but the warmth he feels from her is reasurring almost comforting and he allows himself to be soothed and comforted by it even though ever nerve in is body screams don't beleive the light you are a create of the dark and light is your sworn enemy, but something in him trusts the light and soon the darkness over whelms him and all is black.

Part II:

Slowly he begins to open his eyes wincing against the pain he feels from his wounds from the chase he thought was his last. As his eyes begin to focus on the the light that is filtered into a soft glow from the tangle of trees making up the forests' canopy. He sees the dark siloette of the woman he saw in the light earlier, But now he is able to see details that he had missed before. She had long dark flowing hair, crystaine blue eyes and dressed all in white. She sees him stirring from his slumber from both exhaustion and his wounds she flashes him a happy smile at his waking. Once she is sure of his seeing her she speaks but a few words to him "Oh good your awake" her voice sounds etheral and light and it makes him want to lower his defenses and without reservation he willingly does so. She walks over to him as if walking on air and lays a hand ever so gently upon his shoulder. Her touch is like a warm fire amid a freezing winter and seemingly soothes his pain. He glances up at her and in a rough voice askes "Who are you?" and she simply answers "Shhh...save your stength." Almost as if commanded he closes his eyes once more and drifts off once again into darkness. Hours later he opens his eyes once more and sees her standing over him smiling and gently caressing him upon his once brusied and bloodied head. Once agin he asks "Who are you?" this time she answers him in that same voice he thought he had heard once before "I am one who has watched you and has pledged to protect you and be sure that you are always safe.". Some what shocked he asks again in his rough voice "Why?". She looks at him with that same smile he had seen cross her lips before "Because I was sent to kill you, but after watching you and learning of your patterns, I grew to love and admire you. I know that goes against all that we where raised to think and feel, but I see a tingle of light in your soul and felt you may be worth saving.". Slowly almost lovingly she lays her hands upon him and begins to heal his remaining wounds. He feels his wounds begin to close and mand she leans into close into him and presses her lips gently against his, and in responce he closes his eyes to take in the full pleasure of her deep pentetrating kiss as the kiss grows in intensity he feels himself falling back into the dark void from which he had just awoken. Soon darkness once again has a firm hold on him.

to be continued...
