Swirling Lights

The lights they carry me unto a space

Perhaps into another place

The drum and bass it does surround

The music in my head so does pound

True friends are there without your call

A brother is there before you fall

My heart did bleed and then it drained

My guitar soars and screams in pain

I love the music it soothes my soul

It warms me in winter like a shoal

The lights my sunlight, the smoke my air

I swerve my spaceship without a care

If I were to die before I wake

I pray to Hendrix my soul to take

I've played Rock and Roll, and the Blues

I've floated high in silver shoes

I opened the walls, and closed the floor

and even tried to go through the door

Up the down staircase I have been

but then again don't remember when

The lights they soothe me,and the tunez

The DJ plays the record swoons

My blood was blue but now it's red

A flock of seagulls around my head.
