WOW!! For someone who likes provocative and funny rather than thought provoking polls, that was VERY thought provoking, huh?

It is amazing in it's reality, what now is the question?

watched the video. It was made before 2008...Did you know they are know building a robotic child. Who does everything that a child does. Even cries? Do you think that one day these robots will take over the world...maybe by 2049....

Yes, things have exponentially changed since 1980 when we were working in lotus 1, 2, 3; but sometimes I try to make a good out of a bad...

ebooks, help us stop killing trees which we need to breath. Saves paper in companies, etc.

I think technology is great in schools. Students learn better; not only by reading; but those who are visual learner can read and see visual representations.

The video is very interesting. It got me thinking about a lot of crazy thing.

Thanks for that
Ruff

well first while watching i was very enthralled and on edge. then as it kept going it almost became surreal. it began to look like is this real, is this where we are in the world. are we keeping up and if we aren't or are how do we keep on or doing so. what do we have to do to make sure that we full fill our destiny.
next is fear. how do we keep the advantage that we have. how do we keep terrorist from using this wonderful tool to destroy us and the rest of the civilized society. where do we turn when a $1000.00 computer can out think the rest of society. then who is in control. this isn't a new thought but it makes it a new thought. it puts it in light that it can come true. how fearful is this.
and then comes the enlightenment. how wonderful is this that we have made. look at when our wonderful country was forged. a group of men wrote on a paper what we would become. it took months for it to tour around the thirteen colonies and to become law of the land. when our country went through a civil war and there was a battle after the end of the war because they couldn't get the word to them in time. and i can go on with so many stories of what it took to handle business and communication.
just look what we have done in a short time when you look back at when time the earth has been around. the earth is billions of years old and in a very short time we have developed such a devise and what we can do with it. what a wonderful machine the mind is, and so many decide not to use it, what a shame.

WOW, scary, eye opening, thought provoking, exciting, sad, demonstrative ! In a nutshell it comes down to our own arrogance. The One Laptop per Child program. Demonstrates that a quantum leap in technology. Kids going from NO textbooks to laptops, and being connected to the world. Can benefit a culture, that's behind the curve. By putting them on the correct road TO the future ! That one leap. Lets a culture skip past all the trial, and error other cultures have been through. Third world countries will either be equal to, or ahead of the rest of the world. Due to this technological "leap". I wonder what Darwin would say after viewing that video?

Very intersting and thought provoking! We definetly need to be more up on our days, time and knowledge here on earth before it passes us by. We need those that are in higher places and power to really help our children to be able to not only play the games and operate the equipment but be game players and masters of the game to make a better world for us all! Now and in the future! Thanks Craig!

Good to know. Those statistics alone are valuable to many purposes. However, the focus seems to be on children. . .the future of the world's population. I believe that education needs to pick up the pace and put more focus on these new technologies as they're obviously being used now, will be used more and more as each moment passes and because they continue to grow at an exponential rate. . .a rate that if we don't do something to get to and remain at the forefront of. . soon. . .we'll never be able to catch up. Thanks for sharing.

In my opinion, God makes angels for reasons... and God made you as an angel for this world for so many reasons too, Craig...
The world does need this kind of video to remind us that we're responsible for the children that already born and will be born in this world...
Don't just sit there, stand up, do something for the children and for the world as we all should do...
Thanks for sharing this valuable thing to me...

It certainly confirms what I believe to be true - This world is moving at an alarming rate and our children are not getting what they need to keep up, conform, be productive and be successful.

I watched it, it really is amazing how far we have evolved with technology, shame we don't seem to be able to with humanity.
I like the fact that this all helps us to communicate, and it makes the world smaller but it is also a far more dangerous place with people taking your details, tricking our children and so forth. I dont know what kind of a reaction you wanted from people but all it showed me was that the countries that think they are the best aren't and those that take a back seat and concentrate on education do far better with their children and graduates. All I know is that personally I can say my children don't watch that much telly, they are involved in clubs, music, art, sports and it shows because at the age of 13, my daughter has been a prefect since she was 7 and will sit her exams next year ( still be 13 )
I enjoyed the factual content though.

I think we should slowdown with the computers and concentrate on the memory banks that count......Our children, Thats why I'm volunteering abroad this year with an orphanage and try to make a difference.

DO IT DON'T JUST SAY IT, WATCH IT, TALK ABOUT IT, WE NEED TO ACT.

Very informative and thought-provoking. Change has always been the only constant and it's happening at an exponential rate now - thanks for sharing.
