There are many days that I just sit and ask myself the question "Am I Dreaming?"  Because I see so many things that make my stomach turn.  You see God gave us mandates to follow.  He gave us power and authority and told us that we were more than conquerors.  Yet, as I drive along on one block I see The First Baptist Church, 2 blocks down I see the Church of God in Christ, right across the the street I see New Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  If I turn the corner and go 3 blocks I see St. Peters Episcopal Church and across from that St. Marks AME Church.   Now if I head across town and pass the railroad tracks I run into Grace Apostolic Church, followed by Rescue Church with 2 beautiful shelters for men and women, then I see The Holiness Delivernace Church followed by the Church of God .  I could go on and on but I think you are getting the message.  With all of these churches sitting within blocks of each other then why is all hell breaking loose in this city.  The scripture "Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof" comes to mind.

But more than that I must say that I very seldom hear teaching on the return of Christ.  Sure I hear the Televangalist proclaiming the rapture but no one is telling anyone to get it together, stop shacking up, stop fornicating, quit the drugs,stop disrespecting your mother and father, in essence line up with the Word of the Lord and make your calling and election sure because as it says in Revelation 22:12 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be"

You see, you won't be able to get into heaven off of great grandmother's decision to make God her everything.  You will not be able to get into heaven by trying to get a "hook-up from an old school friend that became a dynamic tool of the Lord.  You won't even be able to get into heaven because for the last year of your life you stopped cursing, were nice to your neighbors, and put your man that you've been shacking with for the last 15 years out.  Why?  Because you forgot to give your life to Jeusus, follow His commandents, and live according to His will not yours!

Am I dreaming?  No, I don't think so because Jesus plainly stated these words "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)   Jesus also said in Luke 21:32-36  "Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away:  but my words shall not pass.  And take heed to yourselves, least at any time your hearts be over charged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,and to stand before the Son of man."

What's my point?  It should be very clear by now. Those of us who are Christians need to be going into the hedges and bars and notel motels letting people know that the end is near and Heaven and Hell and are REAL.  Make your calling and election sure because when Christ returns He will already have our rewards in His hand and some of them won't be pretty.  As for me, I can't imangine hanging out with the devil as the be all to end all.  Now if we can discuss everything from homosexual marriages to just say no to drugs to sex before the age of 12 to it doesn't matter who you marry as long as you love them and it's okay to express your feelings as long as you don't get to loud and don't use to many curse words - surely we can discuss a littlie ole thing like how important it is to decide where to spend eternity.
